Streets of Nisdaq

This is an idea I've been thinking about for a while but didn't really feel like developing it till I moved back to Peru. As there is little to no representation whatsoever on the city of Lima in any sort of media, this is my shot at trying to make something out of it. Lima is very interesting in its' sense of controlled chaos; dozens of textures, styles and colors right next to each other. Beyond that, winter is also remarkable in that it is 100% overcast(the reason as to why buildings tend to be so colorful) and I wanted to use that to my advantage and not rely on dynamic lighting and high contrast to make the image look "cool".

A previous(and failed) attempt I cobbled together in between lunch breaks and free afternoons a few months back. I was dissapointed with it but it served as a good reference for what not to do and what to hone in on.

I made heavy use of photos I found online as well as several pictures I took with my phone while walking around the city both for reference and texture use.
